Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education's St Francis' College Crestmead campus seeks a proactive Grounds Service Coordinator to support the Facilities Grounds Service Manager in daily coordination and maintenance of College grounds, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for the College community.

You will maintain gardens and ovals, operate irrigation and drainage systems, supervise grounds staff and apprentices, manage stores, and uphold WHS across site.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining gardens, lawns and playing surfaces.
• Knowledge of pumps, irrigation equipment and drainage systems.
• Ability to safely distribute and apply pesticides and fertilisers.
• Strong organisational skills for stores and facilities.
• Experience supervising and training grounds staff and apprentices.
• Commitment to WHS requirements.
• Certificate III level or apprenticeship completed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain gardens, grounds, lawns and playing surfaces including seeding and turfing.
• Prepare ovals for sporting events and line marking.
• Install, operate and maintain irrigation and drainage systems.
• Distribute and apply organic and chemical pesticides and fertilisers safely.
• Operate machinery for lawns, turf and playing fields and perform routine maintenance.
• Supervise and train grounds staff and apprentices.
• Manage stores and facilities including stock control and record keeping.
