Job summary

St Francis' College in Crestmead is seeking an experienced Grounds Service Manager to lead grounds maintenance and facilities management. The role ensures a safe, welcoming environment for students and staff, with duties spanning contracts, minor repairs, irrigation, and event support.

The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III or an apprenticeship, plus proven ability to manage planned and unplanned maintenance and coordinate facility-related tasks with external providers.

Qualifications

• Certificate III level qualification or completion of an apprenticeship.
• Experience in managing planned and unplanned maintenance of school facilities.
• Proficient in grounds maintenance including irrigation system upkeep.
• Ability to monitor and track maintenance requests via online systems.
• Experience coordinating event setup and facilities scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Oversee contracts with external service providers to meet College requirements.
• Maintain buildings, furniture, equipment and perform minor repairs.
• Assist with installation of facilities and equipment, painting, carpentry and related tasks.
• Maintain school grounds including gardens, lawns, ovals and irrigation systems.
• Monitor and record maintenance requests in the online system.
• Support facilities/grounds for events and functions.
