Job summary

Brisbane Catholic Education (BCE) is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper for San Sisto College, Carina. You will maintain vibrant gardens, lawns, ovals, and facilities to create a welcoming environment for students and staff.

Responsibilities include mowing, landscaping, waste management, event setup, and assisting with site security and transport needs. A Certificate III or apprenticeship is preferred, with safe operation of small machinery and a commitment to WHS guidelines.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or equivalent qualification in grounds maintenance or horticulture.
• Experience in turf management and oval maintenance.
• Ability to safely operate small machinery and tools.
• Knowledge of school or community safety requirements and WHS procedures.

Responsibilities

• Maintain school grounds and facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
• Perform routine groundskeeping duties including mowing, landscaping, waste management, and litter collection.
• Assist with setup and pack down of school events and community functions.
• Operate and maintain groundskeeping equipment in line with safety standards.
• Undertake routine maintenance, minor repairs and facility inspections.
• Monitor maintenance requests and liaise with staff, contractors, and service providers.
