Job summary

Catholic Education Diocese of Bathurst is seeking a School Fees Officer to join the Finance & Facilities team in Kelso, NSW. You will manage school debtor accounts and support the collection of school fees in line with policy, reporting to the Financial Accountant.

You will be the main contact for fee queries, arrange payment plans with parents, maintain debtor records, and assist with general finance tasks. A 35-hour week and salary packaging are among the offered benefits.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in financial administration, debt collection, or similar role.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for sensitive conversations.
• Strong attention to detail and organisation.
• Competence in financial software systems (Tech One or similar).

Responsibilities

• Act as the main contact for school fee queries and debt collection processes.
• Liaise with parents/carers to arrange, monitor, and enforce payment plans.
• Escalate complex fee issues to the Fees Liaison Officer as needed.
• Maintain accurate debtor records and reports using internal systems.
• Prepare and send correspondence related to fee collection.
• Support the Finance team with general tasks and undertake travel when required.
• Promote and model the Vision, Mission, and Christian values of Catholic Education.
