Job summary

Mindalk Primary School is seeking a Facilities Manager (ES 1-3) to coordinate day-to-day operation, maintenance, safety and presentation of the school’s buildings and grounds.

Role emphasizes practical, hands-on maintenance with independence and collaboration with leadership to set maintenance priorities. The successful candidate will support student learning programs while ensuring safe, well-presented facilities.

Qualifications

• KSC 1–6 criteria covering physical role, gardening aptitude, grounds management, building maintenance, minor projects, independence and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general grounds and maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, edging and spraying.
• Establish and maintain garden beds; mulch and water as required.
• Undertake general maintenance and minor building works.
• Check grounds for safety and posture compliance.
• Maintain storage facilities, signage for OH&S risks.
• Work to a schedule of regular tasks and maintenance audits.
• Assist with events setup/pack-down and other duties as directed.
• Collaborate with Maintenance Manager to support student learning programs.
