Job summary

NSW Department of Education is seeking a School Counsellor for Walgett Community College - High School in Regional NSW. The role focuses on counselling and psychological assessment to support student learning and wellbeing, working with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Experience in counselling using evidence-based interventions with students.
• Experience in psychological assessment of children and young people, including case formulation and report writing.
• Ability to collaborate with stakeholders to improve student wellbeing and learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling and psychological assessment to students.
• Collaborate with teachers, families and outside agencies to support wellbeing.
• Participate in supervision and multidisciplinary district counselling team activities.
• Support professional development and maintain registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
