Taree High School in regional NSW is seeking a School Counsellor to join the NSW Department of Education School Counselling Service. You will provide counselling and psychological assessment to support student learning and wellbeing, complementing teachers and helping families understand their children's mental health needs.

Qualifications

Experience in counselling using evidence-based interventions with a demonstrated understanding of the mental health needs of children and young people.
Experience in the psychological assessment of children and young people, including case formulation and report writing.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with key stakeholders to improve learning and wellbeing outcomes.

Responsibilities

Provide counselling and psychological assessment to support student learning and wellbeing.
Collaborate with students, families, teachers and external agencies.
Participate in supervision, professional development and induction programs.
