MacKillop Catholic College, Mt Peter is seeking a School Counsellor to support student development, mental health and resilience within a Catholic education setting. The role partners with staff to provide targeted guidance services and ensure inclusive access and positive educational outcomes for all students.

The position requires relevant degrees in Education Psychology or Social Work, registration or eligibility for QCT, and external professional membership where applicable.

Qualifications

• Formal qualifications at Degree level in Education Psychology or Social Work and relevant post graduate experience is required.
• With Teacher Qualifications: be registered or eligible to be registered with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT).
• Without Teacher Qualifications: hold a Working with Children Blue Card.

Responsabilités

• Fostering development, mental health and resilience of all students, including at‑risk and special needs students.
• Apply guidance and counselling skills through direct, indirect and systemic interventions.
• Collaborate with the school to contribute specialised knowledge and skills in a collegial manner.
