Department of Education Victoria – Leopold VIC is seeking a skilled Business Manager for Leopold Primary School. The role leads school administration, finance and operations to support student learning and community outcomes.

The position manages annual budgets, grants, and financial controls; oversees HR, contracts and facilities; coordinates resources and reporting, and drives improvement initiatives within a dynamic school environment focused on inclusion and student success.

Qualifications

• Strategic leadership across school administration, finance and operations.
• Experience in financial statements, grants, budgets and financial controls.
• Knowledge of human resources, governance, procurement and facilities in a complex organisation.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration with leaders and staff.

Responsabilités

• Deliver School Services: design and production of school publications.
• Finance: prepare annual budgets, financial statements and funding submissions; manage accounting; advise on spending; administer grants; fundraising.
• General Administration: provide administrative support to Principal and staff; manage admissions/enrolments; support events; induction programs.
• Human Resources: recruitment procedures; advise leadership on support structures; ensure OH&S; employee relations; HR planning.
• Manage School Resources: coordinate buildings/equipment; negotiate with service providers; supervise contracted services; manage resource materials.
• Support School Council: draft reports; evaluate IT systems; develop procedures; manage a technical program.
