Queensland Department of Education's Kallangur State School is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join our school community. You will provide compassionate mental health and wellbeing support to students, helping them feel safe, connected and supported within the school environment.

This is a temporary part-time role (0.70 FTE) until 10 December 2027, offering flexible work options and professional development opportunities, and a salary packaging arrangement.

Formación

• Provide therapeutic and case management support to students.
• Deliver individual and group mental health interventions.
• Coordinate referrals to external agencies and work with external networks.

Responsabilidades

• Assess the mental health needs of students to inform appropriate therapeutic interventions.
• Deliver individual and group interventions to students which address mental health concerns.
• Work collaboratively with schools' leadership and student support teams to inform student support planning, and provide advice to teachers supporting students' mental health in the classroom.
• Develop referral and case management processes to support delivery of the service.
• Coordinate referrals to external agencies, and work collaboratively with external networks and stakeholders to ensure access to appropriate supports for students.
• Provide advice and assistance to families to support the mental health of students.
• Support school communities in responding to critical incidents and emergencies as part of the school response team.
