Job summary

Department of Education Victoria – Endeavour Hills VIC is seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist for a full-time position at Endeavour Hills Specialist School. The role centers on delivering therapeutic supports within class programs and collaborating with a transdisciplinary team to support students’ access to the curriculum.

You will contribute to school improvement initiatives, deliver staff learning, and work with families to enhance communication across home and school.

Qualifications

• Qualified as an Occupational Therapist and registered with AHPRA.
• Current Working with Children Check.
• At least 1 year experience as an Occupational Therapist in a relevant setting is desirable.
• Ability to work independently and accept supervision as required.
• Ability to collaborate with transdisciplinary teams and engage in ongoing professional learning.

Responsibilities

• Support students to access the school curriculum by implementing therapeutic supports within class programs.
• Work collaboratively with transdisciplinary teams to deliver programs and interventions relevant to your scope of practice.
• Contribute to school improvement initiatives, such as SWPBS or Berry Street/Communication Accessible Schools.
• Deliver and/or contribute to professional learning for school staff.
• Work closely with students and their families to support communication across home and school.
• Opportunity to support junior staff within the therapy stream and coordinate clinical placement programs for OT students.
• Complete assessments and reports for Disability Inclusion Profile development.
• Attend meetings (staff, therapy and care team).
• Manage and maintain Occupational Therapy resources.
