Job summary

MIGAS Apprentices and Trainees – Middlemount QLD, in partnership with Anglo Coal, invites applications for a School Based Mechanical Apprentice at Aquila Mine. You will spend one day per week gaining hands-on experience with qualified tradespeople while you complete MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in Year 10 and start Year 11 in 2027.
• Reside in Middlemount is essential.

Responsibilities

• Interpret engineering drawings, maintenance plans and documents to perform maintenance tasks.
• Develop fault-finding and problem-solving skills on fixed plant equipment.
• Learn condition monitoring techniques and equipment inspection practices.
