We are currently seeking an experienced Scheduler / Planner to join our client’s team in Queensland on a 12-month fixed-term contract, commencing 28 September 2026.

This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and detail-focused professional with experience in project or maintenance scheduling. Experience using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar planning and scheduling systems is highly desirable.

The Role

As the Scheduler / Planner, you will play a key role in coordinating project and/or maintenance activities to ensure work is effectively planned, resourced and delivered within required timeframes.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and updating project or maintenance schedules
  • Planning labour, materials, equipment and shutdown activities
  • Monitoring progress, delays, critical paths and completion dates
  • Maintaining accurate schedules and updating plans as priorities change
  • Identifying potential scheduling conflicts, risks and delays
  • Working closely with project, maintenance and operational teams
  • Coordinating resources to support efficient delivery of planned works
  • Providing scheduling updates and progress reporting to relevant stakeholders
  • Ensuring planning activities align with operational and project requirements
  • Master scheduling for capital and operational works
  • Maintenance planning and monthly work-plan preparation
  • Budgeting, forecasting and time and cost reporting
  • Resource, contractor and materials coordination
  • Project milestones, KPIs and performance reporting
  • Systems include Pronto, SAP, IBM Cognos, MS Project, Smartsheet and Power BI
  • Strong contractor, stakeholder and WHS management
About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience in a Scheduler, Planner or similar position
  • Experience within mining, resources, construction, maintenance or a similar environment highly regarded
  • Experience with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project or similar planning systems is desirable
  • Strong understanding of scheduling, resource planning and critical path management
  • Ability to effectively plan labour, equipment, materials and shutdown activities
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage changing priorities
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Confidence working both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
