Job summary

Sydney Trains is seeking an experienced SCADA Engineer Electrical to support the safe, reliable operation of the electrical SCADA network across the rail system. The role covers maintenance, upgrades, configuration, commissioning and testing with a focus on 24/7 monitoring and control of critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• SCADA engineering experience with electrical systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and systems integration skills.
• Experience supporting 24/7 critical infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Providing engineering and technical support for electrical SCADA systems and associated infrastructure.
• Managing SCADA maintenance, upgrades, configuration, commissioning and testing.
• Investigating faults, system issues and incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Developing and maintaining SCADA standards, procedures, work instructions and technical documentation.
• Supporting system improvements, projects and the integration of new equipment and technologies.
• Maintaining configuration control and ensuring SCADA systems remain reliable, secure and fit for purpose.
• Developing and improving graphical user interfaces and supporting operator functionality and training.
• Working closely with operations, maintenance, projects and other engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
• Providing technical leadership and specialist advice to support safe and effective decision making.
• Provide expert technical advice relating to strategies for future enhancement/upgrade/replacement of the electrical SCADA system components
