Job summary

Vulcan in Melbourne is seeking a Band Saw Operator to join our metals distribution team. You will perform band saw processing with overhead crane operation and assist with packaging and labeling of steel orders for pickup or delivery.

The role requires a current driver’s license and own transport, basic computer skills, and a solid understanding of health and safety. Night shifts Sunday to Thursday 10PM–6AM with 30% loading, training provided, and pre-employment medical/drug screening.

What you will be responsible for:

• Band saw processing with overhead crane operation. The successful applicant will be extensively trained

• Packaging and labelling of steel orders in preparation for collection and delivery

• Some light computer skills will be required

• Sunday to Thursday 10PM – 6AM (30% loading)

• Experience with overhead cranes

• Current driver’s license and own transport

• Sound understanding of health and safety
