Job summary

Vulcan Australia is seeking a motivated Machine Operator to join our high-volume, heavy-duty manufacturing site in Kurri Kurri. You will operate machinery, follow quality procedures, read drawings, and contribute to on-time customer commitments.

This role requires safety awareness, basic data entry, and flexibility for day and rotating shifts. A forklift license is desirable; pre-employment drug screen applies; Monday to Friday work; EAP available.

Qualifications

• Machine operation in a high-volume, heavy-duty manufacturing environment.
• Follow quality procedures and carry out quality checks.
• Understanding of drawings and work procedures.
• Checking and reporting any equipment faults.
• Day and rotating shift availability.
• Sound understanding of OH&S/WHS.
• Forklift license desirable.
• Pre-employment drug screen required if successful.

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery in a high-volume production area.
• Meet customer commitments by working to tight schedules.
• Follow and uphold quality procedures and carry out quality checks.
• Perform manual handling and assist with lifting as required.
• Read and interpret drawings and work procedures.
• Identify and report equipment faults promptly.
• Work on day and rotating shifts as outlined.
• Demonstrate safety awareness and correct PPE usage.
• Input production data accurately.
• Maintain clean and safe work area.
• Occasional exposure to a factory environment; prior experience desirable.

What you will be responsible for:

• Machine operation within a high volume, heavy duty, manufacturing environment

• Working to tight schedules to fulfil customer commitments

• Following quality procedures and carry out quality checks

• Manual handling, some heavy lifting required

• Understanding of drawings and work procedures

• Checking and reporting any equipment faults

• Day and rotating shift available (Day 5.30am -2pm) + (Rotating shifts 5.30am-2pm , 2pm - 10.30 pm)

• Sound understanding of OH&S/WHS

• Good numerical skills and able to input production data

• Exposure to manufacturing industry and a factory environment (desirable)

• Forklift license (desirable)
