Job summary

Amazon Inc. in Redmond, WA, is seeking an Equipment Engineer for the Satellite Hardware Manufacturing Team. You will own the equipment lifecycle from requirements through qualification, pilot operation, and long-term improvements to uptime and capacity.

Experience with electro-optical systems and capital investment for production scaling is valued. The role emphasizes designing robust equipment, leading integration, and developing maintenance strategies to ensure high system availability for

Qualifications

Experience with prototyping and implementation.
Experience reading and developing rack elevation diagrams, wiring diagrams, GD&T.
Experience with Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) and Data Acquisition (DAQ) systems.

Responsibilities

Develop system requirements and drive detail design of new equipment.
Participate in sourcing plans for complex equipment (COTS & custom).
Lead equipment integration and site acceptance testing.
Develop troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and spares plans.
Support 2nd line escalation of critical equipment downtime.
Specify and develop facilities interface requirements (power, network, space, LN2/GN2, PCW).
Train and support equipment technicians responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting.
