Job summary

Amazon Kuiper Manufacturing Enterprises LLC is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to drive design for reliability in the Amazon Leo hardware systems. You will lead reliability analyses throughout product development and life, interfacing with subsystem teams to provide input on designs and support testing.

The role focuses on Physics-of-Failure models, stress-driven risk analyses, and qualification of electronics components and PCBA manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering field.
• 3+ years hardware reliability engineering, space experience preferred.
• Knowledge of reliability principles, methods, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist with building a center of excellence for reliability analysis and testing.
• Develop HALT, HASS and accelerated life test campaigns.
• Define sample sizes and test specifications to demonstrate target reliability and confidence numbers.
• Develop subsystem reliability models and establish reliability allocations across components to meet targets.
• Review and support subsystem team component selections, derating and FMEAs.
• Support component and manufacturing process qualification.
• Drive root cause investigation and failure analysis for hardware failures.
