Job summary

Medibank is seeking an experienced Senior SAP Payroll (ECP) Consultant for a 12-month fixed-term contract to lead design, configuration, support and enhancements of SAP Payroll solutions. You will act as a trusted advisor to Payroll, HR, Finance and IT stakeholders, ensuring accurate, compliant payroll outcomes while supporting day-to-day operations and payroll transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in SAP Payroll, ideally Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
• Strong expertise in payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, and postings.
• Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert production support for SAP Payroll (ECP) and ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Configure and maintain payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, and finance postings.
• Lead payroll solution design, requirements gathering, and delivery for enhancements and transformation projects.
• Support payroll testing activities including SIT, UAT, regression, and parallel payroll runs.
• Manage legislative updates including STP, Payday Super, taxation, and superannuation changes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver best-practice payroll solutions.

Acting as a trusted advisor to Payroll, HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders, you'll ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient payroll outcomes while supporting both day-to-day operations and strategic payroll transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert production support for SAP Payroll (ECP), resolving complex payroll issues and ensuring payroll accuracy and compliance.
• Configure and maintain payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, finance postings, and integrations.
• Lead payroll solution design, requirements gathering, and delivery for system enhancements and transformation projects.
• Support payroll testing activities, including SIT, UAT, regression, and parallel payroll runs.
• Manage legislative updates, including STP, Payday Super, taxation, and superannuation changes.
• Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to deliver best-practice payroll solutions.

About You

• Extensive experience in SAP Payroll, ideally Employee Central Payroll (ECP).
• Strong expertise in payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, IDOCs, G/L posting, STP, terminations, and payroll reporting.
• Solid understanding of Australian payroll legislation and compliance requirements.
• Proven experience in payroll production support, project delivery, and payroll integrations.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Workforce Software experience
• S/4HANA exposure
