Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing Australia in Welshpool, WA, is seeking a Sample Receipt Officer. This full-time role focuses on receiving and registering customer samples, liaising with clients and laboratory staff, and ensuring all customer and quality requirements are met.

Reporting to the Team Leader, you will log samples in LIMS, complete QC and quarantine records, organize packing and courier pick-ups, and maintain a safe, hazard-free work environment.

Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and check if samples and products meet the customer and testing requirements.
• Log samples in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) recording accurately any information, storage and analytical requirements supplied by the customer.
• Complete all quality control and quarantine records in accordance with quality requirements and work instructions related to sample receipt.
• Sort, pack, label and distribute samples and other items as required, internally and externally. Ensure that samples are delivered to the respective laboratory areas in a timely manner to meet analytical holding times and to support the achievement of improved customer turnaround times.
• Liaise with external clients regarding sample submissions and other related queries as appropriate and in support of the Analytical Service Managers.
• Liaise with the laboratory personnel regarding sample submissions and customer requirements and inquiries.
• Organise courier pick-ups for samples or sample containers sent externally, and follow up courier delivery, as required.
• Perform general housekeeping duties, ensuring a safe and hazard free work environment.
