Job summary

RecruitShop on the Sunshine Coast is seeking a high-performing sales professional to lead strategic sales plans, grow the customer base, and drive margins across flooring channels. Reporting to the State Sales Manager, you will negotiate pricing, train staff, conduct site visits, deliver forecasts, and provide market insights.

A consumer goods / FMCG background is valued, with a hands-on, autonomous approach.

Qualifications

• Proven sales track record with strong commercial acumen.
• Consumer goods / FMCG sales experience delivering sales and margin targets.
• Experience managing pricing, rebate deals and product ranges.
• Strong presentation, sales analysis and report writing skills.
• A current driver’s licence and basic Excel / Office knowledge.
• A resilient, action-oriented and customer-focused approach.
• Experience from outside the flooring industry welcome. Building or floor covering sales experience will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Developing and executing annual sales plans to achieve and exceed budgets.
• Negotiating pricing structures and analysing performance by store, category and channel.
• Growing your customer base through trade shows, flooring expos, lead follow-up and cold calling.
• Building strong customer relationships and supporting account management.
• Training retail staff and providing technical advice, including site visits.
• Delivering sales forecasts, market share reports and market trend insights.

About The Opportunity

The primary purpose of this position is to establish, coordinate and successfully implement strategic sales plans to achieve set sales and margin targets.
