Job summary

Retro Rides & RRAuctions in Sydney seeks a full-time Consignment Specialist to identify, engage and guide sellers and buyers of performance, collector, and classic vehicles. You will build relationships, prospect via phone, email and digital channels, present our auction services, and manage a growing sales pipeline.

Based in a hybrid role with some work-from-home flexibility, you will collaborate with marketing and operations, attend events or inspections as needed, and work toward sales

Qualifications

• Demonstrated sales experience in a B2C or B2B environment.
• Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
• Comfort using digital tools and platforms, including CRM systems, online marketplaces, and basic office software.
• Knowledge or strong interest in collector, performance, or classic cars and bikes, with the ability to learn auction processes.
• Self-motivated and organised, able to manage multiple opportunities, work to targets, and perform effectively in a hybrid work environment.
• Previous experience in automotive sales, auctions, or a related industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Valid work rights in Australia and availability to work full time in Sydney, NSW.

Role Description

This full-time Consignment Specialist role is a hybrid position based in Sydney, NSW, with a mix of in-office work and some work-from-home flexibility. The Consignment Specialist will proactively identify and engage potential sellers and buyers for performance, collector, and classic vehicles, building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners. Daily responsibilities include prospecting via phone, email, and digital channels, conducting sales presentations, explaining auction services and processes, and guiding clients through listing and transaction steps. The role involves managing a sales pipeline, preparing proposals, updating CRM records, collaborating with marketing and operations teams, and meeting or exceeding sales targets. The Consignment Specialist will also attend relevant events or inspections as needed to support auctions, enhance brand presence, and deepen market knowledge.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated sales experience in a B2C or B2B environment, with skills in prospecting, lead generation, and closing deals.
• Strong relationship-building and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and provide solutions-focused support.
• Comfort using digital tools and platforms, including CRM systems, online marketplaces, and basic office software.
• Knowledge or strong interest in collector, performance, or classic cars and bikes, with the ability to learn auction processes and market trends.
• Self-motivated and organised, able to manage multiple opportunities, work to targets, and perform effectively in a hybrid work environment.
• Previous experience in automotive sales, auctions, or a related industry is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Valid work rights in Australia and availability to work full time in Sydney, NSW, with occasional flexibility for events or client meetings.

Package

$80,000 base + superannuation + uncapped commission
