Job summary

Signode is seeking a Sales Representative to own a designated territory in New South Wales, balancing account management with new sales growth. You will report to the National Sales Manager and develop relationships with customers and Signode personnel.

You will gather operational insights, identify projects, and promote tools, equipment and consumables while reporting weekly activities and monitoring competitor activity.

Qualifications

• Direct experience building relationships with customers across multiple levels of a business.
• Proven ability to manage accounts and grow revenue within a territory.
• Experience identifying and developing new business opportunities and projects.
• Regular reporting of activities and market insights to management.
• Ability to monitor competitors and adapt pricing strategies.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the Sales Representative will be accountable for a designated territory for both account management and new sales growth.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Develop good working relationships with stakeholders (customers and Signode personnel)
• Within customer base, develop relationships at multiple levels within the business, including production, maintenance, purchasing etc.
• Develop an in-depth knowledge of the customers’ operations; machine output potential, unplanned down time, production bottlenecks and record this information in order to evaluate potential projects
• Use information gathered to evaluate sales, develop into actual projects and sales of tools, equipment, and consumables
• Report activity and relevant information on a weekly basis in prescribed format
• Gather details and report on competitor activity and pricing strategies
• Ensure that Signode is upholding high customer service levels, work with other departments (purchasing, logistics, finance, engineering, maintenance & service) to maintain good service.
• Other tasks will be required to be performed to maintain customer service levels and to support other departments within the business as they may arise.
• Account Management - Effective account management to ensure revenues and margins are maintained within current Signode customers in nominated territory.
• Business Development and new business growth - Implementation of appropriate business development strategies (into either current or new customers) to ensure the desired revenue / margin growth is achieved within the nominated territory.
