Job summary

Austcorp Executive is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer/Technical Sales professional to join our Mackay team. You will combine pump product expertise with account management to grow our customer base and provide practical pumping and fluid handling solutions on site.

You will manage relationships, identify new opportunities, prepare quotations, and guide customers from enquiry to order while meeting sales targets across mining and industrial sectors.

Qualifications

• Experience in pumps, dewatering, water, or fluids handling systems.
• Strong ability to identify and win new business opportunities.
• Proven capability to prepare accurate quotations and customer solutions.
• Experience dealing with mining and industrial customers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with existing customers.
• Proactively identify and win new business opportunities.
• Conduct customer meetings, site visits and technical discussions.
• Understand customer applications and recommend appropriate pump and fluid handling solutions.
• Select pumps and associated equipment based on application requirements.
• Prepare accurate quotations and proposals.
• Follow up opportunities and manage an active sales pipeline.
• Identify replacement, upgrade and additional equipment opportunities.
• Manage opportunities from enquiry through to order handover.
• Build long-term customer relationships.
• Work towards sales, margin and business development targets.

What will you do?

What will you need?

• Experience within pumps, dewatering, water, fluid handling or related technical equipment
• Good technical understanding of pumps and their applications
• Strong sales, account management and business development capability
• Commercial experience preparing quotations and customer solutions
• Experience working with mining and industrial customers will be highly regarded
• Current Australian driver's licence
