Job summary

The Salvation Army Mooroopna Thrift Shop in Mooroopna, Victoria, is seeking a values-driven Sales Assistant to support daily store operations and advance the corps' mission. You will deliver outstanding customer service, process donations, price stock, maintain presentation, and assist with promotions.

The role is permanent, part-time (32 hours per week), with weekend work and flexibility around other days.

Qualifications

• Relevant retail industry and/or customer service experience.
• Demonstrated customer service experience working in a retail environment with an ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Sound presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written) with an ability to interact with a variety of people.

• Flexibility: adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.

About the role

We are seeking a values-driven Sales Assistant. This position exists to perform customer focused retail tasks that support the daily operation of the store and the missional objectives of The Salvation Army.

This will include the maximisation of sales and productivity to deliver surplus to support Corps and Community Centre activities. The thrift shop also exists as a valued mission expression of the ministry of The Salvation Army.

Reporting to the Thrift Store manager this is a Permanent, Part-Time role, offering 32 hours a week, located in Mooroopna, Victoria. This role will require work on Saturdays, with flexibility around the other days.
