Job summary

The Salvation Army Regency Plaza Salvos Stores in Sefton Park, SA is hiring a permanent full-time Sales Assistant to support the Store Manager and create an inspiring in-store experience for community members.

You will help with retail operations, pricing donations, merchandising, and delivering excellent customer service while upholding safety policies and TSA values. Flexible rosters and weekend work are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail sales is preferred but not essential.
• Strong customer service focus and a friendly, helpful attitude.
• Ability to connect with customers and colleagues with empathy and clarity.
• Willingness to work flexible rosters including weekends and across locations.

Responsibilities

• Handle retail sales and operate Point-of-Sale devices.
• Assist with collecting, sorting and pricing donations in-store.
• Support visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Provide exceptional customer service and guidance to shoppers.
• Display stock accurately in departments per policy and procedures.
• Follow OH&S policies and safety procedures at all times.
• Demonstrate The Salvation Army core values in daily work.

About The Role:

Regency Plaza Salvos Stores are seeking a talented, values-driven Sales Assistant to support the Store Manager with day-to-day operations and provide an inspiring in-store experience for our team, customers and community members. This is a permanent full-time role, located in Sefton Park** , SA.**

You Will Assist With:

• Retail sales and operation of Point-of-Sale devices.
• Collecting, sorting and pricing donations in store.
• Assist in the development and coordination visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Provide exceptional Customer Service.
• Display stock in correct departments, following policy and procedure.
• Follow Occupational Health and Safety policy and procedures.
• Demonstrate TSA core values in all work-related activities.

About You:

• Demonstrated experience in retail sales, while highly regarded, is not essential.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Genuine passion and proven ability to deliver outstanding results in a rewarding, complex retail environment.
• Alignment with the values of integrity, respect, compassion, collaboration, and diversity.
• High energy, hand-on individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Flexibly to work a rolling roster including weekends and preparedness to work across various locations in the retail area.
