The Salvation Army Mooroopna Thrift Shop in Mooroopna, Victoria seeks a values-driven Sales Assistant to support daily store operations and the mission of The Salvation Army. You will deliver outstanding customer service, process donations, price stock, and maintain attractive store presentation while supporting promotions.

This permanent part-time role covers 32 hours a week, including Saturdays, and offers training, employee benefits, and a supportive team committed to integrity, compassion

Qualifications

• Relevant retail industry and/or customer service experience
• Demonstrated customer service experience working in a retail environment with an ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
• Sound presentation and communication skills (verbal and written)

• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
• National Police Check requirements as part of the role

About The Role

We are seeking a values-driven Sales Assistant. This position exists to perform customer focused retail tasks that support the daily operation of the store and the missional objectives of The Salvation Army.

This will include the maximisation of sales and productivity to deliver surplus to support Corps and Community Centre activities. The thrift shop also exists as a valued mission expression of the ministry of The Salvation Army.

Reporting to the Thrift Store manager this is a Permanent, Part-Time role, offering 32 hours a week, located in Mooroopna, Victoria. This role will require work on Saturdays, with flexibility around the other days.
