Job summary

Haymes Paint Mildura is hiring a Part Time Stores Sales Assistant to join the Mildura Store. The role blends sales and operational duties in a high-activity environment serving trade and residential customers.

You will assist with colour-related questions, tinting, stock handling and POS usage, while maintaining store presentation and delivering excellent customer service. The position offers 25 hours over 4 days and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a customer service role.
• Willingness to learn and develop with Haymes Paint.
• Driver's licence to make local deliveries.
• Experience with stock handling and merchandising.
• Ability to lift up to 22 kg and perform manual tasks.
• POS system knowledge or tech-savvy.

Responsibilities

• Provide service, advice and product solutions to trade and retail customers.
• Handle paint-related questions, tinting and colour matching.
• Inventory control, stock receiving, stock replenishment.
• Take orders in-store and by phone.
• Build relationships with repeat customers and colleagues.

Haymes Paint is looking for a Part Time Stores Sales Assistant to join the Mildura Store. As a Stores Sales Assistant you will be exposed to both sales-focused and operational responsibilities, in a prime location with high-activity in trade and residential customers. If you love customer interaction, have an eye for design, colour or interest in learning, our Haymes Paint Mildura opportunity is one too good to miss out on!

As a Part Time Position, this role will be a 25 Hours a week, across 4 days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide service, advice and product solutions to both trade and retail customers
• Handle all paint related questions for all customers, including tinting paint products and colour matching to customer requirements.
• Inventory control (goods receiving/stocktaking), stock replenishment
• Take orders in-store and by phone
• Build strong relationships with repeat customers in store and fellow colleagues
• Assist with visual displays, store presentation and general house-keeping
• Comply with safe work practices

About you:

• Previous experience working in a customer service role
• A willingness to learn, grow and develop with Haymes Paint
• A driver's licence to make local deliveries
• Experience with stock handling and merchandising
• Confidence to perform manual tasks (Lifting up to 22kg)
• Point of Sales (POS) system knowledge or appropriate tech-savvy
• Previous painting industry experience is highly regarded but not essential
