Job summary

Haymes Paint Stores are seeking a Casual Sales Assistant to support Coolum, Currimundi and Noosa stores as required. The role averages approximately 15 to 25 hours per week and suits someone who enjoys being on the road, building customer relationships, and delivering exceptional service for a trusted Australian brand.

Key duties include delivering paint, assisting customers, handling orders, stocking shelves, and providing basic paint advice.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or delivery roles.
• Ability to lift and move products.
• Current driver’s licence with a clean record.
• Able to travel between Coolum, Currimundi and Noosa stores.
• Experience with POS systems is a plus.

Our Haymes Paint Stores are seeking a Casual Sales Assistant to support our Coolum, Currimundi and Noosa stores as required, averaging approximately 15 to 25 hours per week (May Vary week to week). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, building customer relationships, and delivering exceptional service while representing a trusted Australian brand.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver paint and related products safely and efficiently to trade and retail customers across multiple locations.
• Provide professional and friendly customer service during deliveries and in-store interactions.
• Act as a key point of contact for customers, answering product enquiries and providing basic paint advice.
• Load, unload and transport products while ensuring safe manual handling practices.
• Assist customers with order collection and coordinate delivery schedules.
• Process customer orders in-store and over the phone.
• Support stock receiving, inventory control, stock replenishment and store housekeeping.
• Assist with paint tinting and product preparation as required.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and ensure deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
• Build strong relationships with customers through reliable service and regular interactions.

About You

• Current driver's licence with a safe driving record.
• Previous delivery driving, courier, logistics or customer-facing experience highly regarded.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Comfortable performing physical tasks including lifting and loading paint products.
• Reliable, organised and able to work independently.
• Experience using POS systems, handheld devices or other technology.
• Ability to travel between Coolum, Currimundi and Noosa stores as required.
• Trade, hardware, paint or building industry experience is desirable but not essential.
