Australia Today's is seeking a commercially minded Sales and Marketing Manager to plan, develop and implement sales and marketing strategies. The role oversees market development, advertising campaigns, audience engagement and client acquisition for the organisation.

You will set targets, lead branding initiatives, analyse markets, build advertiser relationships and drive revenue growth across Australia. Strong communication, negotiation and organisational skills are essential.

We are looking for a commercially minded Sales and Marketing Manager to plan, develop and implement sales and marketing strategies. The role will oversee market development, advertising and promotional campaigns, audience engagement, client acquisition and relationship management, sales performance, and the expansion of the organisation's commercial reach.

Key responsibilities

Develop, implement and oversee sales and marketing strategies to promote Australia Today's media, research and content offerings, support revenue growth and expand market reach.

Set and monitor sales targets and commercial objectives for targeted markets, and coordinate sales and marketing activities to support customer acquisition, retention and business growth.

Direct the development and implementation of advertising, promotional and brand strategies to increase brand awareness, audience reach, engagement and consumption of Australia Today's products and services.

Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify target markets, emerging trends and new commercial opportunities, and use these insights to inform sales and marketing strategies.

Build and maintain relationships with clients, advertisers, commercial partners and other key stakeholders, strengthening customer engagement and supporting long-term commercial relationships.

Oversee the development of marketing content, promotional materials and commercial campaigns in collaboration with researchers, editors, and internal and external contributors.

Develop and present commercial proposals, advertising packages and partnership opportunities, and negotiate relevant commercial terms in line with the organisation's sales and marketing objectives.

Monitor and evaluate sales and marketing performance, including sales results, campaign effectiveness, audience engagement and commercial outcomes, and recommend strategic improvements to management.

About you

Minimum 5 years' experience in sales and marketing, with proven experience in sales strategy, market development, customer relationship management and promotional activities.

Demonstrated experience in developing marketing strategies, conducting market research, and delivering advertising and promotional campaigns.

Proven ability to develop client relationships, identify commercial opportunities and contribute to sales growth.

Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation and organisational skills.

Strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to evaluate marketing performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
