Job summary

Asset Training is seeking an experienced Trainer and Assessor to join our team in Sydney, delivering high-quality face-to-face vocational training and assessments across RTO standards. You will ensure compliance with the Standards for RTOs 2025 while supporting learners throughout their training journey.

You will apply current industry skills, maintain rigorous records, and engage with employers and stakeholders to drive quality outcomes and continuous improvement within our training operations.

Qualifications

• Must hold vocational competencies at the level of the training products you deliver.
• Current industry skills relevant to your vocational area.
• Current Trainer and Assessor credentials under Standards for RTOs 2025.
• Strong knowledge of the Australian VET sector.
• Proficiency in competency-based training and assessment.
• Understanding Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence.
• Excellent facilitation and presentation skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and record-keeping abilities.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging training programs in accordance with Asset Training's strategies.
• Conduct fair, valid, reliable assessments as per evidence rules.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback to learners.
• Identify learner support needs and implement support strategies.
• Maintain accurate and compliant training records.
• Participate in assessment validation, moderation and QA activities.
• Contribute to internal audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain current vocational competency and industry currency.
• Engage with employers, industry representatives and other stakeholders.
