Macmahon seeks experienced Safety Trainers with an underground mining background to join our growing team. You will deliver high-quality HSEQT training, coach site leaders, and support incident investigations.

This role focuses on implementing the HSEQT management plan, ensuring training compliance, and driving corrective actions across operations. A Cert IV WHS or higher and ICAM training qualifications are expected, with strong communication and IT skills.

About the Role

We're seeking experienced Safety Trainers with a strong underground mining background to join our growing team.

In this key role, you will support the successful implementation of HSEQT initiatives across our operations by delivering high-quality training, providing expert coaching and mentoring, leading incident investigations, and driving accountability for corrective actions and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective implementation and adherence to the HSEQT management plan
• Develop & review risk assessments
• Provide Subject Matter Expert coaching and guidance as a part of the site leadership team
• Facilitate incident investigations and improved outcomes
• Drive ownership & accountability for corrective actions management
• Ensure workforce competency and maintain training compliance through accurate coordination, monitoring, and reporting of training requirements.
• Ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System requirements

What You’ll Bring

• Demonstrated HSEQT experience in Underground mining (required)
• Cert IV Work Health and Safety (minimum) – Diploma or above (desirable)
• Cert IV in Training and Assessing (TAE40122 or equivalent).
• ICAM Lead Investigation and Training courses (required)
• Formal safety management system auditing qualifications (desirable)
• Proficient with HSEQT reporting platforms (eg. Evotix or similar)
• Experience with learning management systems (eg. Cloud Assess)
• Intermediate level computing skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder skills
• Valid unrestricted manual (C class) Australian drivers licence

Role Details

• Location: Goldfields, WA
• Roster: Family friendly - 8 day on / 6 day off roster
