Job summary

Macmahon at Tropicana in Western Australia is seeking a motivated Production Trainer Assessor to coordinate and deliver high-quality operational training, ensuring the production workforce meets safety, compliance and performance standards.

The role involves hands-on coaching for CAT and Hitachi excavators, dozers, graders, loaders and haul trucks, plus field observations and ensuring training schedules are followed. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and a manual licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in delivering operational training on mine sites.
• Ability to assess and develop training programs for heavy equipment.
• Licence to operate manual vehicles as required on site.

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Trainer Assessor to join our team at Tropicana. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering high-quality operational training, ensuring our production workforce meets all compliance, safety, and performance standards.

Tropicana operates a modern and diverse fleet including CAT 6060 & Hitachi 5600 Excavators, CAT D10 Dozers, CAT 994 Loaders, CAT 16M Graders and CAT 793F Dump Trucks.

Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor and maintain proficiency for operation of equipment
• Undertake field observations for performance of personnel operating procedures
• Stay up-to-date and skilled in your operations
• Ensure compliance of training schedule and allocated training requirements

What you'll bring

• Previous experience in a similar role within a mine site environment
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 / TAE40116 / TAE40110
• Demonstrated extensive experience in training and operating a variety of machinery including excavators, dozers, graders, loaders and haul trucks
• Valid driver's license (Manual) - full unrestricted licence
