Hastings Deering is seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to join the Health, Safety & Sustainability division at our Rockhampton office on a permanent, full-time basis. You will report to the Safety Manager and coordinate Health, Safety, Sustainability & Risk activities across operations.

Responsibilities include providing expert safety guidance, WHS compliance, incident investigations, and contributing to the Safety Management System.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification in Work Health and Safety (minimum Certificate IV in Workplace Health & Safety)
• HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (desirable)
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
• Minimum 3 years experience in similar role
• Incident investigation and reporting experience

Responsabilités

• Provide expert advice and assistance to facilitate a safe working environment and ensure that all work practices are in accordance with Company policy and recognised Work Health & Safety regulations and procedures
• Inspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment or practices to ensure compliance
• Assist in the maintenance and optimisation of the Safety Management System in accordance to Hastings Deering and legislative requirements
• Facilitate ICAM investigations as required
• Coordinate incident investigation, reporting and corrective actions
• Ensure environmental policies and procedures are adhered to
• Develop and implement site-specific safety strategies and initiatives
