Job summary

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a Supervisor in the Safety, Training and Well-being team to provide expert WHS advice and coordinate the daily operations of the Safety Unit.

You will drive the development and continuous improvement of safety management systems, lead investigations, manage risk and compliance, and partner with stakeholders to achieve positive safety outcomes across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and mentoring WHS teams.
• Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and incident investigations.
• Ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships at all levels.
• Analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills.
• Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate WHS programs and incident investigations.
• Oversee hazard/risk management, compliance and audits.
• Provide expert WHS advice to leaders and staff.
• Collaborate with managers and operations to drive safety improvements.
