Job summary

CPB Contractors is seeking a Safety Manager for a project in Victoria, Australia. Reporting to the Project Director, you will lead safety management efforts across the project lifecycle, ensuring compliant execution and continuous improvement in safety performance.

You will develop training analyses, implement safety systems, and drive audits and subcontractor compliance, partnering with HR and clients to meet project requirements.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years in a safety role in a construction environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of safety management system techniques and tools.
  • Experience in quantitative and qualitative risk assessment and development and monitoring of risk controls.
  • High level of skill in conducting and interpreting audits and reviews.
  • Experience in delivering training in high-risk activities such as working at heights, confined spaces and rescue training.
  • Experience in developing, analysing and reporting on complex project performance, compliance and defects and/or non-conformance.
  • Detailed knowledge of Safety legislation and statutes and ability to interpret applicable statutes or legislation relevant to Project.
  • Experience using Corporate Management Systems & Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and support the delivery of the Safety Management Plans through consideration of relevant aspects and impacts which may be influenced by the implementation of the Safety requirements for the project.

  • Develop and implement a subcontractor audit program.

Your opportunity
  • To Implement and control Safety Management requirements, strategies and initiatives across a workplace and report progress to the Project Director and Project Management Team

Reporting to the Project Director, the Safety Manager will sit within the project team and be accountable for:

Our Minimum Requirements For This Role Are
