Job summary

Iluka Resources is seeking a Health & Safety Superintendent for our Balranald operation in regional NSW. The role leads a safety team, delivering best practice health, safety and injury management, while embedding a proactive safety culture.

You will drive continuous improvement, oversee regulatory compliance and mentor multidisciplinary professionals to optimise mining and processing activities. FIFO/DIDO options apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, engineering or related field with strong HSE leadership experience.
• Proven track record in mining health, safety and occupational hygiene performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the Health and Safety team to deliver best-practice outcomes.
• Drive continuous improvement of safety, health and occupational hygiene practices.
• Oversee statutory compliance with regulators and manage workers’ compensation processes.
• Lead incident investigations including using ICAM methodology and implement corrective actions.
