Bulla Dairy Foods in Victoria is seeking a Full-Time Safety Lead to join our Operations Team. The role focuses on practical safety leadership beyond compliance, engaging leaders and frontline staff to reduce risk and improve safety culture.

You will coach and mentor teams, identify hazards, influence safe work practices and drive site safety priorities across multiple sites in Victoria.

Formación

• 3+ years in a safety leadership role within a manufacturing/FMCG setting.
• Strong knowledge of Victorian OHS requirements and risk management.
• Demonstrated leader coaching capability and credibility with operations.

Responsabilidades

• Provide practical, risk-based safety advice to site leaders and frontline teams.
• Coach leaders to understand and fulfil safety responsibilities.
• Identify, assess and control operational safety risks effectively.
• Challenge unsafe practices or decisions impacting safety risk.
• Support development and delivery of site safety improvement priorities.
• Facilitate effective consultation with employees and Health & Safety Reps.
• Maintain visibility across operations and build trusted relationships.
• Manage contractors and external parties on site safety matters.
• Lead investigations to uncover root causes and systemic contributors.
• Support implementation of company safety standards and minimum requirements.
• Monitor key safety processes and controls for effectiveness.
• Ensure incidents are investigated, documented and resolved timely.

FMCG / manufacturing experience

Diploma in OHS

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Full-Time Safety Lead to join our Operations Team.

At Bulla, we don't see safety as something owned by the Safety team. We believe the most effective safety outcomes are achieved when leaders and employees are actively engaged in identifying hazards, understanding risk and developing practical solutions together.

This role is much more than compliance, audits and systems. It is about building relationships, understanding work as it is performed and helping create an environment where safety conversations are open, constructive and solution focused.

What's the Scoop?

• Provide practical, credible and risk-based safety advice to site leaders and frontline leadership.
• Coach leaders to understand and fulfil their safety responsibilities.
• Support the identification, assessment and effective control of operational safety risks.
• Challenge practices or decisions where safety risk is not being effectively managed.
• Support the development and delivery of site safety improvement priorities and plans.
• Facilitate effective consultation and engagement with employees and Health and Safety Representatives.
• Maintain visibility across operations and build trusted relationships with leaders and employees.
• Support effective management of contractors and other parties undertaking work at the site.
• Facilitate and ensure investigations move beyond immediate causes to identify underlying and systemic contributors.
• Support implementation of company safety standards and minimum requirements.
• Monitor the effectiveness of key safety processes and controls.
• Ensure incidents are investigated, documented and resolved in a timely manner.

What You'll Bring:

We are looking for someone who has:

• 3+ years in a similar role
• Strong FMCG / manufacturing experience
• Diploma in OHS or a similar discipline
• Strong working knowledge of Victorian occupational health and safety requirements and contemporary risk management practices
• Demonstrated leader coaching capability
• Strong operational credibility
