Job summary

Seymour Whyte Constructions – Ballarat VIC is seeking a Health and Safety professional to support site safety system implementation and maintenance. The role involves assisting with inspections, PPE checks, and recording findings to drive corrective actions.

With 3+ years in a civil or construction safety role and certificates in WHS, you will engage site personnel, maintain records, and contribute to incident investigations across regional projects.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety.
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar role within civil or construction.
• Strong communication skills with confidence engaging site personnel.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with safety reporting systems and a willingness to learn.
• Must hold a current Driver’s Licence and have own transport.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the implementation and maintenance of site safety systems and documentation.
• Assisting with routine site inspections, audits and PPE checks.
• Recording findings and helping track corrective actions to completion.
• Helping investigate incidents and near misses, including preparing reports.
