Job summary

Seymour Whyte is a progressive civil engineering firm operating in Australia for over 35 years. We are a safety‑conscious contractor offering opportunities across regional sites.

The successful applicant will support site safety systems, inspections, audits and PPE checks, recording findings and tracking corrective actions to completion. Applicants should have a Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety and 3+ years in a similar role within civil/construction, with strong communication

Qualifications

• Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety required.
• Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a similar WHS role within civil/construction.
• Strong communication skills with site personnel; good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with safety reporting systems and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and maintenance of site safety systems and documentation.
• Assist with routine site inspections, audits and PPE checks.
• Record findings and help track corrective actions to completion.
• Help investigate incidents and near misses, including preparing reports.
• Maintain safety registers, training records and compliance documentation.
