Job summary

Service Stream and Connect Sydney invite applications for the 2027 Ignite Graduate Program. The Safety Advis or Graduate will join a cohort to gain exposure to safety systems, data analysis, human factors, and risk reduction across multiple iconic Sydney sites, with on-the-job rotations and structured development.

The two-year program builds capability through learning courses, networking with leaders, and paid leave benefits, with a pathway to a permanent role upon completion.

Qualifications

  • Have completed, or about to complete, a minimum 3-year undergraduate degree such as WHS, Engineering or Science from a recognised university.
  • Be available to work full-time for the 2-year duration of the program from February 2027.
  • At time of application, hold Australian/New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation and improvement of safety management systems.
  • Support incident investigations and learning to prevent recurrence.
  • Contribute to data analysis and reporting for safety performance.

About the Role

Service Stream and Connect Sydney are excited to open applications for a Safety Advis or Graduate to join Connect Sydney, and form part of our cohort for the 2027 Ignite Graduate Program. ConnectSydney , a joint venture of ServiceStream, Boral, and Johnson Controls , in partnership with Transport for NSW, is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone. Y ou have the opportunity to support a diverse range of sites including the most iconic structures in Sydney! Our responsibilities encompass routine maintenance, strategic enhancements, and specialised projects aimed at bolstering Sydney's transport infrastructure. You will gain exposure to multiple facets of safety including safety management systems, incident investigations and learning, data analysis and reporting, human factors and risk reduction, and technology and innovation.

About the program

Our 2-year program is designed to support your personal and professional growth through a balanced mix of on-the-job experience, learning from others, and structured formal development. Our program features:

  • Job rotations - you will have the opportunity to work across different areas of specialisation and projects.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the program, you must:
