Job summary

Service Stream invites applications for a HSE Graduate to join the 2027 Ignite Graduate Program, based in Melbourne or Fortitude Valley. The program supports your growth with on-the-job experience, structured development and rotations across projects in Power, Gas, Water and Industrial sectors.

The two-year program offers networking events, professional memberships, learning courses, site visits and mentoring. A permanent role awaits on completion.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-year undergraduate degree in a relevant field from a recognised university.
  • Available to work full-time for the 2-year duration of the program from February 2027.
  • Australian/New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency required and current driver’s licence.
  • Construction white card and first aid certificate required (in-house support available).

Responsibilities

  • Join the Ignite Graduate Program for the 2-year development track with on‑the‑job experience.
  • Complete rotations across different projects within the Utilities division.
  • Engage in networking events and mentoring opportunities with executives and leaders.
  • Access professional memberships and learning courses to build capability.

About the Role

Service Stream are excited to open applications for a HSE Graduate to join our Utilities division, and form part of our cohort for the 2027 Ignite Graduate Program. You will be joining our biggest business unit that supports Power, Gas, Water and Industrial sectors Australia-wide. This role will have a main base of either Melbourne (VIC) or Fortitude Valley (QLD).

About the program

Our 2-year program is designed to support your personal and professional growth through a balanced mix of on-the-job experience, learning from others, and structured formal development.

  • Job rotations – you will have the opportunity to work across different projects.
  • Networking events – meet and greets with our executives as well as our business leaders, other graduates, and graduate alumni.
  • Professional membership – for your first year we will give you access to your relevant association.
  • Learning courses - to build capability in areas such as personal branding, influencing, finance and presenting.
  • Annual site visits - providing on the job experiences and exposure to various projects across Australia.
  • Support and guidance - through leadership support, a buddy system, a dedicated and enthusiastic graduate program team and mentoring opportunities.

We will provide remuneration increases every 6 months for the duration of this program, and when you finish you will have a permanent role with us!

Eligibility
  • Have completed, or about to complete, a minimum 3-year undergraduate degree in a relevant field within the last 5 years from a recognised university.
  • Be available to work full-time for the 2-year duration of the program from February 2027.
  • At time of application, hold Australian/New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency.
  • Hold a current Australian driver’s licence.
  • Have or willing to obtain a construction white card and first aid certificate (we have an in-house RTO that can support you with this).
