Job summary

Service Stream invites applications for a Safety Advisor Graduate to join Connect Sydney as part of the 2027 Ignite Graduate Program. You will gain exposure to safety management systems, incident investigations, data analysis and learning, across sites including Sydney’s iconic transport structures.

The two-year program offers job rotations, mentoring, professional membership, and paid leave options, with remuneration reviewed bi-annually and a path to a permanent role.

Qualifications

  • Completed or about to complete a 3-year undergraduate degree in WHS, Engineering or Science from a recognised university.
  • Available to work full-time for the 2-year duration of the program from February 2027.
  • Australian/New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency at time of application.

Responsibilities

  • Support safety management systems, incident investigations and learning.
  • Contribute to data analysis and reporting on safety metrics.
  • Assist with risk reduction and human factors improvements across sites.

About the Role Service Stream and Connect Sydney are excited to open applications for a Safety Advisor Graduate to join Connect Sydney, and form part of our cohort for the 2027 Ignite Graduate Program. ConnectSydney, a joint venture of ServiceStream, Boral, and Johnson Controls, in partnership with Transport for NSW, is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone. You have the opportunity to support a diverse range of sites including the most iconic structures in Sydney! Our responsibilities encompass routine maintenance, strategic enhancements, and specialised projects aimed at bolstering Sydney's transport infrastructure. You will gain exposure to multiple facets of safety including safety management systems, incident investigations and learning, data analysis and reporting, human factors and risk reduction, and technology and innovation.

About the program

Our 2-year program is designed to support your personal and professional growth through a balanced mix of on-the-job experience, learning from others, and structured formal development. The program features:

O-Week kicks off in February 2027 from our head office in Melbourne, marking your first day of employment. We will provide remuneration increases every 6 months for the duration of this program, and when you finish you will have a permanent role with us!

Eligibility
  • Have completed, or about to complete, a minimum 3-year undergraduate degree such as WHS, Engineering or Science within the last 5 years from a recognised university
  • Be available to work full-time for the 2-year duration of the program from February 2027
  • At time of application, hold Australian/New Zealand citizenship or permanent residency
