Job summary

IFYS in Maroochydore, Queensland is seeking an experienced Practice Advisor – Service User Safeguarding to strengthen safeguarding practices and ensure compliance with the Reportable Conduct Scheme. You will lead management of client feedback, complaints, and safeguarding concerns, providing expert guidance for safer services and better outcomes for children and young people.

The role offers a permanent full-time basis with potential to work from home after an initial training period, plus

Qualifications

• A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience working within child protection, out-of-home care, or statutory care environments.
• Experience managing complaints, incident reporting obligations and safeguarding concerns within a regulated environment.
• Sound understanding of the Reportable Conduct Scheme and relevant Queensland legislation.
• Experience preparing regulatory notifications, reports and maintaining accurate records.
• Well-developed communication, report writing, consultation and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to analyse information, identify trends and make practical recommendations.
• Flexibility for travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the management of client feedback, complaints, reportable incidents and safeguarding concerns
• Coordinate and provide support with investigations, ensuring timely outcomes, procedural fairness and effective communication.
• Manage reporting and record keeping compliance with the Reportable Conduct Scheme and related regulatory obligations
• Provide expert advice, coaching and training on complaints management, safeguarding, reportable conduct and risk management
• Analyse data to identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities
• Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships
• Develop, implement and evaluate mechanisms that promote meaningful service user feedback and engagement
