Job summary

IFYS in Maroochydore, Queensland is seeking an experienced Practice Advisor – Service User Safeguarding to strengthen safeguarding practices and ensure compliance with the Reportable Conduct Scheme. You will lead management of client feedback, complaints, and safeguarding concerns, providing expert guidance for safer services and better outcomes for children and young people.

Qualifications

• A degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience working within child protection, out-of-home care, or statutory care environments.
• Experience managing complaints, incident reporting obligations and safeguarding concerns within a regulated environment.
• Sound understanding of the Reportable Conduct Scheme and relevant Queensland legislation.
• Experience preparing regulatory notifications, reports and maintaining accurate records.
• Well-developed communication, report writing, consultation and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to analyse information, identify trends and make practical recommendations.
• Flexibility for travel as required.

About the opportunity

IFYS has an exciting opportunity for an experienced practitioner to join the Practice Hub team in the role of Practice Advisor – Service User Safeguarding.

This newly created position will play a key role in strengthening safeguarding practices across the organisation and ensuring compliance with the Reportable Conduct Scheme.

Reporting to the Practice Lead, the Practice Advisor will lead the management of client feedback, complaints, reportable incidents and safeguarding concerns, while providing expert guidance that supports safer services and better outcomes for children and young people.

Must hold or be willing to obtain if successful:

• Valid Queensland Driver’s License
• QLD Working with Children Check (Paid Blue Card)
• Licensed Care Suitability Check (LCS2)
• National Crime Check (A new check will be completed through IFYS systems)
• Ability to provide two recent line manager references including your current employer
