EVT is seeking a friendly Guest Service Agent for Rydges Hunter Valley. You will be the first point of contact, handling check-ins/outs, guest requests, and cross-department coordination to ensure a smooth stay. A 1–2 year hotel front desk track record, strong communication, and attention to detail are important.
The role is casual, on-site at the Hunter Valley resort, with opportunities to grow within EVT's expansive network of brands and properties.

As a Guest Service Agent you’ll be the first point of contact for guests, delivering warm welcomes and efficient service. You’ll manage check-ins, check-outs, and guest requests, while working closely with other departments to ensure rooms are ready and guest needs are met. Accuracy, professionalism, and local knowledge are key to creating a seamless and memorable stay.
- 1-2 years of experience as a GSA in a hotel
- Proven ability to deliver warm, professional, and efficient guest service
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in front office operations including check-in/out and handling guest accounts.
- Ability to build strong relationships with other departments in the hotel
- The ability to deal with multiple requests at once and maintain a high level of service.
- Familiarity with reservation systems and booking procedures.
- Manage arrivals and departures of everyone visiting our resort
- Provide exceptional guest service by responding to guest requests efficiently and courteously
- Communicate with housekeeping, reservations and maintenance departments to ensure all guest requests and needs are met
- Actively resolve guest issues and challenges presented on shift
- Anticipate and attend to the guest’s needs and desires immediately.
- Offer a warm and friendly salutation to resort guests as they enter and depart from the Resort.
- Check guests in and out with efficiency and friendliness and in accordance with the established Hotel procedural guidelines.
- Process daily guest transactions and accounts accurately and efficiently.
- Work with the Housekeeping, Reservations, and Maintenance departments, to ensure that the Resorts rooms are properly prepared for arriving guests.
- Communicate any guest special request to the appropriate department(s) and follow up to make certain the request has been fulfilled in accordance with the guest’s wishes.
- Promptly action all guest messages
- Communicate any pertinent guest comments, particularly guest complaints, to the Hotel management.
- Be fully conversant with regard to all information on the area as a destination, the services available at and through the hotel, any special events taking place in the area.
- Have a full working knowledge of all current room rates and packages available at the Hotel.
- Book, update, amend and file all reservations accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in all rostered theoretical and on-the-job training sessions.
- Comply with all of the hotel’s operational policies & procedures.
- Maintain a clean & safe working environment.
- Have a full knowledge of, and practice all of the resorts established workplace health and safety guidelines (WH&S).
- Adhere to all established cashiering policies and procedures.
- Ensure the protection and maintenance of all operating equipment
- Complete all assigned opening and closing duties.
- Give assistance to the telephonists and back office personnel when required.

We are seeking a friendly, professional and customer-focused Guest Service Agent to join our Front Office team in a casual capacity. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will create memorable experiences through exceptional service, efficient check-ins and check-outs, and prompt resolution of guest requests. Working closely with Housekeeping, Reservations and Maintenance, you'll help ensure every guest enjoys a seamless and enjoyable stay.
- Previous hotel front office or Guest Service Agent experience (1-2 years preferred)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with reservations systems and guest account management
- A collaborative approach and ability to build strong working relationships across departments
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
