Job summary

Flinders University in Murray Bridge is seeking a Rural Student Services Officer to deliver front-line support for students, staff and stakeholders, and to coordinate campus operations including facilities and accommodation across the Murray Bridge region.

You will provide admin support for rural teaching programs, collaborate with the Rural Education Team and external partners, and help strengthen rural health pathways and regional workforce development.

Qualifications

• Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and exercise sound judgement when supporting students and stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively within a team and deliver high-quality customer service.
• Experience coordinating activities, events or operational services, plus strong digital literacy and quick learning of new systems.

Responsibilities

• Delivering front-line student, staff and stakeholder support while ensuring a welcoming, safe and engaging rural campus environment.
• Coordinating the day-to-day operation of campus facilities, student accommodation, fleet vehicles, inventory and maintenance services across the Murray Bridge and Mallee region.
• Providing high-quality administrative support for rural teaching and learning activities, including the SA Rural Medical (SARM) program and related initiatives.
• Building strong relationships with students, health professionals, community partners and internal stakeholders while supporting events, projects and initiatives that enhance the rural student experience and promote regional health careers.
• Contributing to the university’s strategic plan to change 10 million lives, Every One Matters, by 2035 by ensuring rural students receive high-quality support and access to learning opportunities.
