Job summary

Rockhampton Regional Council is seeking a dedicated Roller Operator/Labourer for Mt Morgan. You will help build and maintain rural infrastructure, travelling between sites with a safety‑first mindset and a collaborative team approach.

The role requires operating a road roller, holding an MR licence (HR desirable), and a Certificate of Competency with hands‑on mobile plant experience. Training and development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

Experience operating a Road Roller in rural settings with an unrestricted MR Class licence (HR desirable).
Demonstrated attention to detail, organisation and problem solving.
Ability to work both independently and in a team.
Identify, report and resolve safety hazards to maintain a safe and compliant work environment.
Certificate of Competency and hands-on experience operating mobile plant.
Experience using hand tools (spanner, wire brush, level, measuring tape, line sprayer).

Responsibilities

Operate a Road Roller and contribute to rural infrastructure maintenance.
Assist in civil construction and maintenance across multiple sites and travel between locations.
Maintain safety standards and complete tasks with quality and accuracy.
Support team with equipment checks, repairs, and tooling needs.
