Job summary

WCT Rural in Wudinna, SA, is seeking a Rural Product Sales Representative to build relationships with farmers and rural businesses across the Eyre Peninsula. You’ll travel to service customers, promote a range of rural products and support the branches’ retail teams.

The role offers a full-time position, ongoing product and industry training, and a chance to develop your career within the rural sector. Strong communication skills, self-motivation and a customer-first approach are essential as

Qualifications

• Passionate about rural sales and building relationships with farmers and rural businesses.
• Able to travel across Eyre Peninsula and service customers autonomously.
• Comfortable using sales and accounting software and basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective rural customers
• Travelling throughout the Eyre Peninsula, including the Elliston and Ceduna areas, to service customers
• Promoting and selling a range of rural products
• Preparing quotes, following up enquiries and converting sales opportunities and dispatching stock
• Keeping up to date with products, market conditions and developments within the rural industry
• Representing the business professionally within the local farming community
• Maintain general store cleanliness
• Loading and unloading customers and freight deliveries

Job description

We are looking for a motivated and personable Rural Product Sales Representative to join our team, based in Wudinna and servicing customers across the Eyre Peninsula, supporting our Elliston and Ceduna branch as well.

About the Role

As a Rural Product Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with farmers, rural businesses and existing customers throughout the region and supporting the branches retail team.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and prospective rural customers
• Travelling throughout the Eyre Peninsula, including the Elliston and Ceduna areas, to service customers
• Promoting and selling a range of rural products
• Preparing quotes, following up enquiries and converting sales opportunities and dispatching stock
• Keeping up to date with products, market conditions and developments within the rural industry
• Representing the business professionally within the local farming community
• Maintain general store cleanliness
• Loading and unloading customers and freight deliveries

Previous experience in rural sales, agribusiness, agriculture, farm supplies or a related industry will be highly regarded.
