St Vincent's Hospital Sydney is seeking a Rural Patient Access Coordinator to support cancer patients and carers, coordinating travel, accommodation, and complex appointments. The role involves IPTAAS processes, liaising with hospitals and clinicians, and removing barriers to access from referral to follow-up.

Flexible start times and 4 or 5 days per week are offered, with 0.8 FTE (32 hours) and pro-rata salary.

Qualifications

Experience in health administration or patient support.
Experience arranging complex healthcare appointments, travel or accommodation.
Understanding rural, regional and remote patients' barriers to specialist healthcare.

Responsabilités

Coordinate travel and accommodation for rural, regional and remote cancer patients and carers.
Assist with IPTAAS applications, supporting documentation and reimbursement processes.
Organise complex appointments across haematology, transplant and cellular therapy services.
Liaise with patients, referring hospitals, clinicians and multidisciplinary care teams.
Help overcome access barriers and improve the patient journey from referral to follow-up.
